PSG and Atlético Madrid Advance to Champions League Semifinals

Paris Saint-Germain has booked its place in the UEFA Champions League semifinals after securing a 2-0 victory over Liverpool in the second leg of their quarterfinal tie. The match was played at Anfield, with Ousmane Dembélé scoring both goals for the French side in the 72nd minute and in stoppage time.

Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov played a crucial role in the win, making five saves to keep a clean sheet. PSG had also won the first leg in Paris by an identical 2-0 scoreline, allowing Luis Enrique's team to progress comfortably. In the semifinals, PSG will face the winner of the clash between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

In another quarterfinal, Atlético Madrid lost its second leg against Barcelona but still advanced on aggregate. The match at the Metropolitano ended 2-1 in favor of Barça, with Lamine Yamal scoring in the 4th minute and Ferran Torres adding another in the 24th. Ademola Lookman pulled one back for Atlético in the 31st minute.

Barcelona played with ten men for the final stages after Éric García received a straight red card in the 79th minute. Despite this defeat, Diego Simeone's side progressed thanks to its commanding 2-0 victory from the first leg at Camp Nou. Atlético will now meet either Arsenal or Sporting CP in the last four.
