Kazakhstan Signs Memorandum to Stabilize Meat Prices

@МТИ РК
On April 15, the Ministry of Trade and Integration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, signed a trilateral memorandum aimed at stabilizing prices for socially important food products. The primary focus of the agreement is on meat and meat products.
The memorandum outlines a set of joint measures designed to ensure price stability in the domestic market. Key areas of cooperation include increasing the production and supply of meat, improving logistics and storage infrastructure, and developing mechanisms for transparent pricing.
The parties have committed to implementing systematic work to saturate the market with affordable goods. This involves supporting domestic producers to boost output and streamlining distribution channels to reduce intermediate costs.
A central element of the agreement is the establishment of a mechanism for monitoring and promptly responding to unjustified price increases. The signatories will work together to analyze market trends and take coordinated actions when necessary.
The signing of this document represents a consolidated effort by government bodies and the business community to address food security concerns. The goal is to create conditions that prevent sharp price fluctuations for essential goods, particularly meat, which holds significant weight in the consumer basket of Kazakhstani families.
